Real estate photo editing at $0.10 a photo, not $2

Real estate photo editing normally means sending a folder to an editing service and waiting for it back at around $2 an image. Puw re-lights the same photos at 4K in about twenty seconds each, for $0.07 to $0.10, with the geometry pinned so nothing in the property is added, moved or removed.

Editing services exist because agents cannot edit and photographers do not want to. They solved the skill problem by adding a person, which fixed the quality and left the two things that actually hurt: the turnaround, and the per-image price that makes you ration which listings get the treatment. This page is about removing both without removing the constraint that matters — that a listing photo has to stay a truthful record of the property.

What this costs, and what it replaces.

Option Per image Notes
Puw — Studio plan $0.07 1,200 images a month, 4K native, same-minute turnaround
Puw — Pro plan $0.10 200 images a month
Puw — starter pack $0.30 30 images, one-time, no subscription
BoxBrownie image enhancement US$2.00 boxbrownie.com/pricing, checked 27 Aug 2026
BoxBrownie virtual staging US$30.00 A different job — see below

An agency running 40 listings a month at 25 photos each needs 1,000 edited images. At US$2 an image through an editing service that is $2,000 a month. On the Studio plan it is $79, and it comes back in minutes rather than the next working day — which means the listing goes live the evening of the viewing rather than two days later.

The workflow.

  1. 01

Drop the whole listing in at once — 25 photos go in as one job, not 25.

  2. 02

Leave every property photo on Precise. It re-lights and colour-corrects without moving a wall or removing an object.

  3. 03

Watch them render together, each row reporting its own progress, and open any one to compare before and after.

  4. 04

Download at 4K and push straight to the portal. Commercial use is included on every paid plan.

When this is the wrong tool.

  • You shoot bracketed exposures on a tripod and merge them. Autoenhance.ai and AutoHDR are built around exactly that RAW workflow and will fit it better than we do — Puw takes a single JPEG and re-renders it.
  • You need an empty room furnished. That is virtual staging, a different product with its own disclosure rules, and it lives on our sister product luw.ai rather than here.
  • You need a specific object removed — a bin, a car, a sign. Puw changes lighting, not contents, and in most markets removing a feature from a listing photo is a misrepresentation problem rather than a style choice.
  • You want a human to look at every frame and make judgement calls. That is what an editing service sells, and at $2 an image it is a reasonable thing to buy for a flagship listing.

Questions people ask.

Is AI photo editing allowed in property listings?

Re-lighting and colour-correcting a real photograph is standard post-processing — it is what an editor does in Lightroom. Adding, removing or altering features is misrepresentation in most markets. Precise mode does the first and refuses the second, which is why property work should stay on Precise.

How does the price work out per listing?

A 25-photo listing costs about $2.50 on Pro and $1.75 on Studio. Through an editing service at US$2 an image the same listing is $50.

How fast is it really?

About twenty seconds per image, and a batch renders in parallel rather than one after another — so a 25-photo listing is done in the time it takes to make coffee, not by tomorrow morning.

What happens to my agency branding on sign boards?

Logos and printed text are held fixed through the render. Generic enhancers redraw them into something that is nearly your brand, which is a specific and expensive failure on a listing photo.

Can I integrate this with our listing system?

There is an API on every paid plan, Pro included. It is not reserved for the top tier.

What if I do not like a render?

Change the mode or add a note and run it again — a second render is another credit, at seven to ten cents. Renders that fail on our side are refunded automatically.

Do you keep my photos?

Uploads and renders are stored against your account so the archive works. For the full detail on retention and data handling, read the privacy policy — it is the authoritative answer, not this page.

Can I cancel a monthly plan?

Any time from the dashboard. The plan runs to the end of the period already paid for. The $9 starter pack is a one-time purchase with nothing to cancel.
